The Illinois Optometric Association (IOA) is pleased to announce a significant development in the state's optometric landscape. After several years of collaborative efforts with the Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (DFPR) and the Illinois Optometric Licensing and Disciplinary Board, Illinois has adopted new rules that enables optometrists to fulfill 18 CE hours via online sessions, whether live or pre-recorded, provided by approved CE sponsors.
The latest regulation takes immediate effect for the ongoing licensing cycle. This crucial change eliminates previous restrictions on the number of CE hours that could be completed online and provides greater flexibility for optometrists to fulfill their educational requirements.
Every attendee must register under their own profile. Paraoptometric registrations may not be made under an OD's account. Please follow the directions below to login to your existing profile or activate a new profile.
